How big is Conor McGregor in your circle of friends who don't follow MMA?

Conor is massive where I live. Most people on my friends list on Facebook who don't have a clue about MMA keep sharing Conor/Nate clips everyday. Loads of different people, people I wouldn't even have expected to enjoy this stuff.

It's only Conor stuff though, and to a lesser extent, Ronda Rousey. Anderson Silva just fought Bisping in London and there wasn't one post about that on my Facebook. In fact, I was the only person that put something up about that fight, lol.

I'm from the UK, where the majority of people still don't know what MMA is never mind McGregor.

It's still all about the Football(Soccer), Rugby, and Boxing.

My friends (casual UFC fans) LOVE McGregor, which bothers the hell out of me because he was one of my favorite fighters up until this fight with Diaz was announced since Ive been a Diaz fan since day one. So now that Im rooting for Nate all of the casual UFC fans wanna talk like they have better MMA IQ then me simply because they love McGregor and he has yet to prove anyone wrong.

Not much out of people that dont normally follow but the more casual followers have been posting a ton

He doesn't get much exposure in Australian media, so I haven't noticed anything. For the Ronda fight there was a bit though.

Like 2 people might remember his name. Might. Anderson Silva, Randy Couture and Brock Lesnar are the only fighters that really have any name recognition among people I know. AS for the leg break and the latter two from outside the UFC.

Maybe Ronda, but haven't heard her mentioned. But would assume people know her since she gets press here too.

I'm pretty sure everyone I know knows who he is. & roughly 90% of them are casuals.

None of them know who he is. I have two friends who are vaguely aware of UFC. One knows Jon Jones and Ronda Rousey and the other knows Ronda Rousey. Oh, and then I have a couple of friends/acquaintances who are WWE fans so they're aware of Brock Lesnar's UFC history.

Honestly, a decent amount of people know about the fight but more people talk about Steph Curry than Conor McGregor.

It's all good man. We know the truth. Well, I do... You sadly like Conor still. That will change.

Everybody loves Conor in my little circle of Facebook but I don't give a fuck. Repping Nate all over.

All my non-MMA friends know 2 fighters: Conor and Ronda.

Naw I really dont, I kinda hate the little bastard at the moment. I would love nothing more than to see Nate Diaz fuck him up tomorrow.

Non MMA friends dont know him really but Ronda is popular with like every woman even post-Holly ko

Same thing.

People on my FB who don't even follow MMA share videos and news of Conor almost daily.

Even my closest bud who I've never heard mention anything about MMA asked me for a link to a stream a few hours ago because he needs to watch McGregor fight.

And now guys like Lebron and Drake getting inspired by Conor.

He's the biggest star MMA's ever had. No denying it.

I live in the states, specifically in Philadelphia, and to this day I've never met another human who has heard of Conor. I could stand up on a desk at my office and offer $1000 cash to the first person who tells me who McGregor is and nobody would win.

It would constantly blow my mind how many people knew Rousey. She crossed over in a way that literally everyone I knew had at least a tangential notion of who she was, even if they've never seen an MMA fight.

Conor is more a hardcore fan phenomenon and clearly popular in the UK.

I'm off to a convention for work this weekend and of the other 7 folks from my company that are going, nobody is even aware that there is a big fight this weekend. I asked a few people if they would want to hit a bar but most likely I'll watch this from my hotel room!

Here in the Netherlands UFC airs about 4 to 7 AM. I have been watching UFC alone for years. Last mcgregor fight i was watching with 4 friends. Tonight we're with 5. Shits insane, he's great for the sport.
