RIP to all the warriors who gave their lives in service of this country. Please do not turn into a War Room thread.

We're celebrating as a family today. Grilling chicken & steaks & drinking some local IPAs. Cheers!

I went out with friends on Friday night. I BBQ'd yesterday, Chicken & Turkey Dogs & Baked Potatoes & Pasta. Today I'm eating my leftover BBQ.

I'm self employed, so I didn't know it was a holiday to be honest.

This is also a hard Holiday to celebrate for me. On one hand, we are celebrating soldiers that died in conflicts like ww2 or the American revolution that gave the ultimate sacrifice for a noble reason, on the other hand stuff like the Vietnam War or the last 20 years in Afghanistan are included.

I lost one of my best friends in Afghanistan. He's still alive, but he's a different person. He's lost every friend and family member he has at this point because he's so fucked up from PTSD and meth that he sees literally everyone as an enemy.
It's hard to watch people BBQ in celebration of anything that has to do with that. I'm not judging others. I'm just talking about me personally. Memorial day sorta pisses me off.

My kid is breaking out the air fryer and making wings for the family.

I'm thinking about former student of mine that died in Afghanistan. I was his wrestling coach. My wife was his science teacher. Such a nice kid.

Im worried that my kid's generation may get pulled into a war in eastern Europe.

Went for a bike ride this morning and off to a BBQ this afternoon then a bootie call after that but come back home and sleep here.

might watch Saving Private Ryan opening D-Day beach landing scene in 4K Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos with 9 speakers surround sound.

Gonna go play some bball.

salute.

Have fun!

Sorry to hear about your friend. I feel you. Unfortunate side effect of so many holidays. Most don't know why we have off & what we're celebrating. My father did not die in battle but I rock his flag in my av. I celebrate in honor of those who give me the privilege to celebrate.

Just made a frozen pizza and watching Top Gun on Netflix.

Freedom isn’t free.

It’s $19.99 per month

Enjoy it.

I hope not. That's not our war. Sending money when Americans are need is shameful. RIP to your former student.

Sounds like a good day.

What is today?

Memorial Day celebration.
