How are are today's athletes staying youthful? Prime used to be in late 20's, now it seems to be in early to mid 30's. Are there new vitamins or new training techniques? New diets?

I think MMA fighters are in their prime between 25 - 35 year.

I think men are then in the best shape to fight, because they are young and strong.

Younger than 25 year is not strong enough. Older than 35 years is not young enough.

people in general are staying younger, for longer. so the same would apply to athletes.

The prime age will depend on the sport, surely.

Money and training.

They eat right and workout. That works for everyone not just pro athletes.

In most other sports that requires athletic ability, prime is usually around 26-29, and their careers at the highest level is over at about 33.

These D-level athletes in MMA are not very athletic to begin with anyway. They can keep fighting on technique and experience alone and the fact that the talent pool is so shallow that there're very few younger, stronger, faster and hungrier young bucks ready to take their place.
