Big Thompson fan and like Gunnar a lot as well. I think the standup of this fight would be really entertaining but unfortunately if it hit the ground I'm pretty sure Nelson would end it quickly because he is just on another level than almost anyone in grappling.

 

Don't count on it. Stephen's ready to break out.

Thompson is the best guy he has fought in his career, this wont happen. Thiago is his biggest win... Paulo Thiago.

I wonder if any of the people on the thread watched the Thatch fights in the UFC. This is going to be an absolute murder. Very lopsided fight. I like Thompson but he'll be doing well if he gets past the three minute mark.

In that case the Nelson fight works out pretty well, I'd take Nelson by superior technique everywhere.

 

I've watched the Thatch fights and I trained with Stephen for years. I stand by my comment. Wonderboy in the 3rd. BTW, I've never met Thatch, but I hear he's a good dude.
