what do you guys think? I think it'd be a fun fight. Dustin is ranked #2 right now and he's on a tear. I don't think he's booked either.

Lol Poirier would get tooled. People keep underestimating Mcgregor, Dustin was supposed to be a tough test the first time.

He should have fought him instead of Cowboy. Conor can still beat him and it's a more legit win in the division than overranked and washed up Cowboy.

Poirier or Gaethje are both good fights and a win over either would earn him a legitimate title shot, and nobody could argue otherwise.

The UFC would never do it. A ton more money to be made vs Khabib, Masvidal, Tony or Usman..

Love Dustin, but he falls into the <FookIsThatGuy> category to the mainstream..

Gaethje or Masvidal make the most sense to me.

    Either fight Gaethje - Khabib,
    or Masvidal - Usman

To be fair, 2014 Poirier killing himself to make 145 is a completely different animal than current Poirier at 155. Conor might win, but the fight would look a lot different than the first one, no doubt about that.

Poirier is definitely better at LW but he's still chinny and I think Conor beats him again handily.

I agree. Just find it strange that nobody is mentioning Dustin. Would be a banger and there's already a hypeable relationship there.

    Good fight.
That would actually prove if Conor is ready.

McG's plan is too slowly increase the quality of opponent until he gets his desired title shot. If he starts off with someone like Poirier, there is nowhere to go after that. Cerrone is perfect and adds to the win streak thus giving Conor more leverage.

I'd really rather see new fights, don't think anything would change in a rematch.

Really? I think the way Poirier beat Holloway shows that he's improved and that his size has altered his punching power a ton too

No it’s not. It was to fight a shot opponent with name recognition, and to look great doing it. Then Dana could press for the rematch with Khabib.
