How about Cyborg vs. Jorina Baars for the 145 title?

Jorina is 44-0 in Thai boxing, including waxing Cyborg, and has fought MMA in the past (went 1-3 but that was years ago), and this would actually be interesting. I'm sure the UFC money would be a nice payday for her.

W145 is like SHW in quality and depth, but if they are gonna bother with having the division they mind as well start filling it so that Cyborg is fighting people with actual UFC experience.

Cyborg is a legit blackbelt. This fight will look like Couture vs. Toney

Baars is a great fighter. But if you watch her MT fight against Cyborg, she seriously gets out muscled and repeatedly taken down by Cyborg. Cyborg would easily out grapple Baars. With that being said, Baars dropped Cyborg 3-4 times in that fight and is capable of outstriking or even finishing Cyborg on the feet. Baars is incredible.

I'm amazed at how little respect MMA fans have for MMA. They're constantly hyping up kickboxers, wrestlers, boxers, hell even basketball and football players as if MMA at the UFC level is fucking easy or something

Very true, but I would only propose it in joke divisions with no contenders, and if there was somebody who had waxed Stipe already and had a few MMA fights.

Jorina has fought MMA 4 times already and thus has been training at it for years (don't know if she stopped at any point though). I wouldn't propose Cecilia Braekhus against Cyborg for the same reason you stated.

Baars lost an MMA fight to Cindy Dandois. It would make more sense to have Dandois fight Cyborg, as unpopular as that idea is.

Dandois has a lot of wins, including over Megan Anderson and Marloes Coenen. Coenen is easily one of Cyborg's best wins. Dandois is one of the best 145ers, and would be better than most of Cyborg's wins, which tells us everything we need to know about 145. Cyborg herself is the only justification for the 145 division. Take Cyborg away and there's not enough at 145 worth watching.

Cyborg got beat up in her fight with Baars, but it wasn't her sport. She showed a lot of heart and made it more competitive at the end. Watching that fight, I think most people would heavily favor Cyborg in an MMA fight. She's well-rounded.
