As far as i seen:

Everyone in MMAfighting (Helwani, Luke Thomas, raimondi), everybody on Sherdogs round table disscusion, The infamous John Anik and other people at FOX, Schaub, Robin Black...

Most people picked Conor to win this fight.

How stupid does it look now?! What does that say about these said journalists? Who else did i miss? Im sure there were more on the bandwagon.

As funny as it is, the only person i remember picking Diaz was bryan, fucking, callen. LMAO how about that!

The hype was strong, and the media bought it

Frankie pick Diaz and Tate to win.

Bryan Callen (from Mad TV) had Nate winning, while Joe and Shaub thought he was crazy.

It just goes to show you that participating in combat sports does not necessarily mean you have a better eye for the sport. Some of the worst predictions come from great fighters.

You clearly missed DC picking Diaz, as well as Fe picking Diaz and Tate.

and you missed my point... im saying the majority/big name mma journalists were mostly picking conor and what does that say about mma media. i didnt say nobody picked nate.

I didn't miss your point, my point is there is a reason they were not picked by the majority seeing how they were underdogs. Especially with Conor being favored so heavily.

Well I feel like Conor vs Nate was like a 70%-30% fight in those circumstances so I understand why they went for that pick and Holm vs Tate was a 60%-40% with the potential bad match up that turn to be true.

Conor was on a huge roll with a full camp in he was the heavy favorite if it was Diaz full camp then maybe it would had a much better line, majority just considered its stacked to much in Conor's favor.

About Tate's win well in a rematch I'll still pick Holly she was 2 min away from winning it she was winning the stand up, she was stronger in the clinch, she defended quite a few takedowns and has hart, what we saw where some big weakness on the ground game, those needs improvement and at age 34 I don't think she can improve them that much just enough to survive better and get up.. she needs even more td defense.. in a potential rematch she can be more careful and pull of a decision win or a TKO if Tate is to aggressive.

Now for Tate, she had fighting spirit, she didn't quit in there, she kept at it till the end it was impressive, had good enough standup to not be walked all over, had patience, solid wrestling and good on the ground.. and the best part shes 29 she will be around for a good few years, even if she loses the belt I think eventually she will get it back.

Tate vs Ronda 3, lets see how she can handle that.. Ronda has the mental edge in the regard she beat her 2 times she has that arm bar but Tate improved and got confidence from her last fights and Ronda well we all know how that story went down.

Note but her invincibility aura is also gone and that gives extra confidence to all fighters that will face you, ex: Fedor, Anderson and what I believe we will see with Conor to.

Can we ask the real question here?

Who did Nam Phan picK?
