For most of the destroyed tanks and armor/mraps Houthis did the destroying.

I put "Houthi" in the title because the National Interest article, from which I became aware of the links, says this:

" Houthi rebels have filmed their destruction, by way of long-range anti-tank missiles, of at least nine Saudi M-1A2S tanks. At least five M-60 Pattons and two AMX-30s have also been destroyed. Additionally, the Houthis devastated a column of Emirati M-ATV mine-resistant vehicles in an ambush."

I think the actual destruction of Abrams wouldn't have mattered who was inside but the odds of the tank being in a vulnerable position would differ if the crew were Saudis or Americans .

Now if the Tanks had anti-tank missile countermeasures installed , then it can be argued that the competency of crew matters , because an incompetent crew may not have utilized it accordingly.

More than just the crew. If this was a US operation, they'd likely be working under clear skies and with air support. That's kind of our thing.

Those counter measures are generaly about as effective as writing dont shoot us on the side of the tank

Where are the Houthis getting these ATGMs from? If these are being supplied to them by the IRGC, then the larger story is that the Iranians are capable of supplying/manufacturing a weapon with the ability to take out Western armor.

I kind of find that hard to believe given that Iranian cars are spectacular pieces of shit. Seriously, if you're ever in Malaysia you'll see them; they build cheap knock-offs of Kias for people too broke to buy Kias.
