Hospital can take 11-month-old girl off life support despite her family's wishes

The infant has already endured months of pain and anguish, if the parents can't make the humane decision then the doctors should in my opinion.
While I agree with the spirit of your post, this is a dangerous path to take. You can't simply take parents and family members out of this equation.

you can't make a doctor do a procedure against their will..

right.

so as far as the parents right to choose, they can't force a doctor to do a procedure, I assume the same goes for other medical staff, what exactly is in their power to choose?

They should leave the child in pain with no standard of life.

It should be the parents' decision, even though it seems like they're way wrong in this case and not thinking clearly. Hospital should give its recommendations and try their best to convince the parents, but it should ultimately be the parents that get to decide.

No it should not be the parents decision, it should be decided by the professionals. There is no point in keeping a dying child with irreversible damage on life support. The doctors know this, and they made the right decision.

Unfortunately you sometimes run into cases like Jahi McMath where the person is brain dead and the body is kept alive. This poor girl's body actually started to decay in the family's house because they thought she could wake up one day.

Could make for an interesting movie.

Bruce Willis with a terminally ill daughter in hospital and they are gonna shut off the machine if he doesn't come up with the money. He turns to a life of crime and bank robberies to keep the cash flowin

So basically something like Breaking Bad, but the baby is sick and not Walter?

No slow burn tv series. Just an anti hero movie. Doing a lot of bad shit but for a good reason. Pushed to his limits to extend the life of his terminal ill daughter. What depths of depravity and sin will he go to to keep her kicking for a little while longer?

Parents don't have the right to force a hospital to torture a baby. That's ridiculous.
