I haven't had a comouter good enough to gane on since like 2003. Still, I'd be damn interested in a PC HZD, if it allowed players to build/add enviroments to the map. I've really missed those kind of small features, which are surprisingly lacking on PS4 games.
Until its announced by Sony, this should be considered more clickbait Cuktaku bullshit.
Good, alienating 66% of potential buyers(Pc users) is a bad business move.
That cool I guess. Game was just alright though imo.
Lol if you believe this.
Exclusives sell consoles. Sony gains nothing from this on their end. They have some of the best exclusives in industry, and PC is notorious for piracy and gamers buying only during sales. There is a reason publishers are adamant in porting games from console to PC.
This sounds fake as hell.
Besides they have PS Now on PC right? This sounds more and more fake the more you think about it.
66%? Is PC gaming really 2/3rds of the gaming market? That seems too high to me.
irl I barely know anyone that games on PC (I used to play PC exclusively from 1995-2009). What’s more, I honestly don’t know many people that even have PC’s anymore. Most people I know only have a computer at work, and just have a tablet at home, or just their phone.
Its what Google says for worldwide: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=percentage+of+game+users+via+pc+and+console
Outside of console exclusive titles. Every game is a better experience on Pc.
Probably isn't gonna happen but if they were to do it this would be the time for it with the next gen rolling in.
The amount of people buying a PS4 in 2020 just to play HZD probably isn't relevant enough to sales to justify keeping it console-exclusive if they think they can move a decent amount of copies on Steam/Epic to make the port worthwhile.
If Jason Schreier is tweeting it, it's possibly true.
It makes perfect sense.
1. This game is 3 years old, any person willing to wait 3 years to buy a game they might like to play isn't relevant when discussing selling consoles.
2. Sony gains nothing but money from doing this.
3. PS Now isn't the same as having the game.
4. You bait a bunch of PC users with H:ZD on PC and then announce the sequel for the PS5 exclusively. Not only does it get people talking about Horizon again, maybe playing it will convince someone to take the plunge because they don't want to wait another few years for it to possibly come out for PC.
Only thing weird about this is it compete with their own PSnow service.
Bring Bloodborne to PC so I can finally enjoy a decent frame rate.
errr you might want to read your own source again...
Scroll down on the results. 2015 it was estimated that 1.2 billion Pc gamers exist compared to 600 million console users.
That just tells how many people are estimated to play games on PC.
That's not the same as saying 66% are potential buyers to Horizon: Zero Dawn or 66% of the market is being ignored.
I loved BB to death, but I just can't bring myself to play NG+ modes, even though I want to. The framerate is so garbage, and load times (going back and forth to Hunter's dream namely) were really annoying. Going from the Darks Souls trilogy at 60FPS, and on an SSD, to Bloodborne was painful. I also prefer my trusty 360 controller for pc, but that's less of an issue.
It was still highly worth the playthrough of course (incredible game) but it would shine even more on PC. No paying for online features is a bonus too.
Yea I tried to go back to it on PS4 and the framerate killed it for me.
Still probably gonna wait until I get a PS5 sometime next year to play HZD but the thought of picking it up earlier on PC is certainly tempting...
Release date for PC 7th August 2020.
