Probably. I just didn't find any reason to disagree with what he said. And I don't see anyone ranked 6-10 doing anything that would necessarily leap-frog him. Maybe Oliveira. But Felder has one foot out the door. Lee is too inconsistent as is Iaquinta.

You naturally don't feel he is ready but if he wins against Dustin he should be up. Of course it depends on if Conor is really gone. Also will there be a Khabib/Justin rematch after the first eventually happens. Also where Tony will fit in everything in that will he call out the number one contender. A lot can happen. With that being said Dutsin is going to win against Hooker.

LW is a total shark tank but the universe has aligned just so at the moment, where a strong win over Dustin would put hooker right into title contention.
If we assume Conor fucks off for awhile, and Khabib beats Justin convincingly... We've got the three most worthy contenders (DP, Tony, Justin) coming off losses. So someone would need to get the shot and hooker makes sense. Unless oliveria can get another solid win in the near future ( against who though?)

Read the posts in any thread with Hooker's name. The GIF of him being finished by Barboza is spammed over and over, most say he was gifted a hometown decision against Felder, and that he ducked Islam.

I can only see it if he KO’s Dustin or dominates in some spectacular fashion. Other than that, his best career win is Iaquinta, and he robbed/edged Felder. I don’t see the Khabib fight being competitive.

Would rather see Charles of he gets another win.

The UFC will try to push Conor at any cost, so I doubt he gets it anyway.

Hooker said he's "leaning" towards Gaethje beating Khabib and he really thought he'd beat Dustin and be next in line for a TS.

He knows he can't beat Khabib so was dreaming of beating Dustin and of Justin beating Khabib, then Dan fighting Justin for the title.

The first dream was shattered last night and the second dream will get shattered when Khabib and Justin fight.
