Hooker just beat Al Iaquinta, Islam just beat Davi Ramos

Why would Hooker fight a dude ranked outside the top 10 when he just solidified himself in the top 7-8? Makes no sense. As if Islam would fight him if the roles were reversed.
 
And FC trying to use his belly power to hype that fight... Nosey as hell omg. Go fight Ngannou while wait for the injured real champ Stipe and STFU. This is lack of more punches in the face, Ngannou could give you some more, there is nothing to worry about.

Hooker is now #7 in the division and Islam is #15.................... though his best win is over Gleison Tibau.
Islam should kick rocks and Cormier should let Islam deal with it.

Why would Islam duck Cerrone? Does anybody duck Cerrone? Most fighters like to call him out because he will fight anyone. Islam needs a step up in competition. Islam should look from 10-14. Gillespie has a fight but Oliviera or Pettis might be a good fight for him. Hooker vs Felder anybody? Felder rescinded his willingness to fight Barboza again so he needs a new opponent. Hooker vs Felder makes a fun fight. Book it Dana!

Yeab cuz hes ranked way below them and theres no upside to that fight for them...

It takes two to tango as the saying goes..

What does it do for the 5 ranked and 4th ranked guys to beat a guy whos like ranked 10th...absolutely nothing..hooker or felder isnt getting a title shot off of beating islam lol

On the flip side if islam wins he jumps up over alot of people...

Islam has to have something to provide these guys with in order to get those fights..thats what hooker was eluding too saying the only thing i could get from fighting this guy is a pay cheque but even then it wont be big..as islam isnt a name that sells yet..

Islam needs to stay in his lane and fight guys ranked near him first..like gregor or oliveria..

Plus his boys champ..whats he gunna do hog the #1 contender spot and log jam the lightweight division for another 2 years.. Fuck that...

Felder won't fight him. Felder says he wants a top 5. Hooker is ducking too. Cerrone might be a possibility. I'd love to see him fight Hooker but Hooker is playing Hookie.

imo Hooker is much more dangerous than any above mentioned fighters.
doesnt that mean that Islam is looking for a good fight ?

why does it make you nervous when he is asking to fight a fighter with good skills ?

The only time people ever seem to rate Iaquinta is when they're talking up a fighter who just beat him.
 
Al is tough as shit, but lets not pretend his "rank" wasn't completely inflated due to a "good loss" to Khabib. Tough, decent fighter .... but Hooker is like a foot taller than him and probably outweighs him by a solid 15 pounds, the UFC set that fight up for a reason.
 
Al is good, he's tough, he has heart but he's not a better name than Davi Ramos. Only to casuals who had never heard of Ramos.
 
Islam (what a stupid name for a russian) is a good fighter and hooker need to solidify his status, they comes both from a win so would be an ok matchup but, you can't blame hooker because he is trying to have the best possible for himself, this is fight business kids.
 
Top 10 of LW is a shark tank, only with different size sharks.
There's no place for Islam in that company.
