Honestly how can you not like Yoel after hearing him on the Rogan podcast?

The guy had such a hard life, made the best from it and came to the US and became one of the best fighters on the planet by working hard.
Those stories about what he had to do in Cuba sound brutal.
On top of that he's a very humble and genuine friendly guy and he's very intelligent too if you can understand his spanish. Joey lost a lot of words in translation.

War Yoel

I agree. I wasn't psyched on the idea of him being in the show. Some MMA guy who barely speaks English. He won me over. Seems like a genuinely good dude.

It was very interesting. Joe and Joey were both spazes. Joe asking dumb questions and getting super excited about them and Joey adding vulgarity to Yoel's sentences.

#HESPECT !!! Pumped for the Whitaker rematch... Should be better than the first with a better Yoel game-plan...

I loled everytime Joey added a random 'fuck' to Yoel's sentences. 'Yeah, the trainers were FUCKING amazing'.

He was my boy after THIS

Yoel: Joe, Entrenamos la lucha todos cada dia. You get that

Joey: You understand that

Joe: No what'd he say?

Joey: He said they fucking trained their asses off every fucking day Joe. That's what he fuckin said

Dude I was telling everyone "youre retarded, thats gonna suck, even if he spoke english, Yoel is stupid just have joey diaz on alone" but i enjoyed it, I stand corrected. Still cant root for him after what he did to Lyoto but I respect him a little. And hes suing the tainted supplement company, so that kind of eliminates that.

Yeah Yoel is pretty awesome. The Whittaker rematch is going to be fire

Yoel has to be one of my favourite fighters of all time. I see myself looking back on his fights 10 years from now.

I love Whittaker as well but I'm rooting for Yoel as the guy is 40 and doesn't have a chance to get the belt again if he loses. Whittaker is young and has plenty of chances left.

I wish I could actually listen to a Joe Rogan podcast without getting annoyed by him thinking he is Mr know it all.

It was such a great podcast. The non MMA talk was so interesting and heartfelt. He seems like such a genuine guy. Made me even more of a fan.

He is an amazing athlete. But he reminds me of a master bullshitter. Something off about him.

Because he claimed some sort of morality/victim hood of being a respectful and clean fighter.

He was talking down trash talking. He trash talks.
Acts like he didn't cheat when we know he does.

I agree and you could tell rogan and Joey respect the heck out of Yoel too.

Either that or just feared him lol

he´s pretty amazing for a guy who started to train MMA in his 30s... and fighting at the highest level at 40 yo

Dunno.. it could have been the translation but he seemed a bit contradictory when discussing the Kennedy shitshow.
