Hey guys. I was talking to my mom's friend late yesterday night about the fights on Saturday and he brought up a good point.
While everyone likes Paulo Costa and are on his hype train at the moment, Uriah Hall is a good guy and an exciting fighter also.
I said Paulo Costa is awesome and he said what about the low blows?
Uriah Hall changed after he got hit with a hard low blow and Paulo Costa also PUNCHED him at least once maybe twitch in the balls. OUCH.
They should immediate deduct a point and give no more warnings for the first shot. It is too useful of a tool not to be used if you only get a warning. Like an eyepoke. I like Paulo but now I think he is a cheap fighter. Kind of reminds me of Jon Jones. Only time will tell if he really is a cheap fighter or if he will fight with honor like all the UFC GOATS to P4P fighters (DC, MM, GSP, etc) Not mentioning Fedor because he's not in the UFC.
What i learned in History classes is that the past is a good indicator of the future and that is why History is important.
We learned that Cheaters never prosper. We all saw how Jon Jones eyepoked and fought dirty his whole career and ignored it because he was winning a lot but we now know he was taking a lot of steroids and drugs.
We will see. But I would advise caution when emotionally investing yourselves in a fighter like Costa because he has a high probability to disappoint. My mom's friend told me to proceed to caution when rooting for him and wait a few fights for his true personality to come out. But until then enjoy his fights!
