I think this guy questions said it best.
He knows what he's talking about.
Bravo to him.

This guy has watched too many confirmation hearings. Some questions can't be answered "yes or no".
I really don't get the mentality that the US is on the hook for Ukraine's security. Why should we spend 100's of billions on Ukraine with no deal in place to recoup our losses?

When someone demands "yes or no" they are trying to lock you into their narrative they've already decided on.You can generally say yes or no then go into qualifiers and more depth.
Politicians are very good at avoiding the yes or no.

I don't really know what you're talking about. I don't recall ever saying anything like that. Are you the idiot who thinks America should only finance wars when it benefits them financially? Jfc lol the trump brain has broken some of y’all
Might as well give Russia arms then and make this go quicker
Have you stopped beating your wife? Yes or no

Did you see the word generally in my post? Yes or no.
Yes obviously but then you should understand how easy it is to frame a question where giving s yes or no leaves you open for misleading quotes or soundbites
That's what the word but is for.
Again I think that's where you use the word but. People have to do it all the time on here and manage it so I'm sure politicians can.
Politicians are often a bit dumb and it's much easier to be talked over and misinterpreted in person than through text. They also have a bit more riding on an answer than shit talking on here so can't blame them for being careful
I understand where you're coming from but I also think that's why people don't trust them.
Dont worry theres plenty of other reasons to not trust them
That's not yes or no.That's what the word but is for.
That's not yes or no.
I mean, its clearly not, but whatever.Sure it is.
