Seemingly to the benefit of all concerned, UFC President Dana White has removed himself from the ongoing contract negotiations between his company and Team Holly Holm.

In an informal interview in Las Vegas, Nev., on Thursday, two days before UFC 173 at the MGM Grand Garden, White was asked whether negotiations with the Albuquerque MMA fighter’s camp were going better than previously.

“Yeah, I think so,” he said.

Asked what had changed, he said: “I’m not involved. I think that’s what changed.”

In the past, White has expressed displeasure with the negotiating style and financial demands of Lenny Fresquez, Holm’s Albuquerque promoter. White once called Fresquez “a lunatic,” and said in March that he and UFC were “not interested whatsoever” in signing Holm (7-0, six of the victories coming by KO or TKO).

Holm’s performance in her most recent fight, a victory by fifth-round TKO over Brazil’s Juliana Werner in a Legacy FC title fight at Route 66 Hotel Casino, seems to have changed the picture.

White said matchmaker Sean Shelby is negotiating with the Holm camp on the UFC’s behalf.

Still, White – Dana being Dana – couldn’t resist a dig.

“It’s been a very long negotiation for somebody you’d never heard of,” he said.

Holm, a former world champion boxer, broke a bone in her left arm in the Werner fight and isn’t expected back in the cage until the fall.

She needs do ditch that manager.

Manager might be the reason she will get a better deal than previous. UFC knows they will have to cough up at least something substantial if they want to sign her.

She is a great addition to the women's division.

Manager might be the reason she never fights in the UFC.

I posted the information from an article. I will post the link of the article now. :)

UFC quickly needs to sign some new women for that division because this is going to get old pretty quickly.

to be fair, it is pretty sad if holm gets a better contract than the majority of guys getting signed to the ufc.
