There really is no point in getting tapped unconscious. Maybe to casual fans they see it as "die hard champ" mentality, and thats cool I guess I always respect it but its not necessary if you're caught tight, and escaping Nate's chokes are no joke. Holm also had a lot more riding on that fight, she knew if she survived round 5 she could win the fight, Conor was in very dangerous waters in rd 2 and went for a really bad double leg.

Nate had it locked up and Conor knew it. He wasn't getting out so there's no need not to tap.
