Holm is Mediocre and Boring. What's the appeal?

Holly Holm is touted as a 'world class striker' by Joe Rogan, but she's looked incredibly mediocre in every one of her UFC fights except the one against Ronda Rousey. She has a very un-fan friendly point-fighting style and seems to be comfortable doing the bare minimum to win fights. Fanboys said she was underperforming on purpose, but I find that hard to believe after Saturday. Her only redeeming quality seems to be her positive, upbeat attitude, and the fact that she put an end to Ronda Rousey's reign.

The Rousey fight didn't look like point fighting to me.

Most people didn't really pay attention to her pre-Rousey fights, which weren't terribly impressive, but that gets washed away when you crush the once-ever superhuman champion.

People were tired of having a champ that acted like an immature entitled narcissistic brat. A normal person wearing UFC WBW gold was a breath of fresh air.

She represents development in WMMA which is still a young branch of MMA. Holly may be a point striker in most of her mma fights but we still want to see more women who can throw proper strikes rather than the common slug fest which tends to dominate the lower rankings.

And also a mass amount of anti-ronda is embodied in the Holm counter-appeal.
