That statement is the most retarded and ignorant thing ever. cant stand those casuals. In that position it was done you understand me...it was over. You'd die in 3 seconds if that was you against "BJJ black belt"

the statement is that she didn't tap, not that she tapped later

Conor gonna have to work on that choke defense before he ends up becoming like Chael Sonnen.

She fought hard to try to get out. Went for hands tried flipping her.
Connor didnt try to fight it of at all. But that's common anymore.

It's not really Conor tapping that was the issue for me.

It was him giving up an easy choke out of fear of punishment from the mount.

Conor quit in that fight because he was scared.

If anything, Holly is being praised for not tapping out.

As soon as Conor hit the mat that dude broke. There was no defense what so ever. He didn't even try to hold onto Nates body for dear life to just survive the round (the round was almost over), instead he turned over and handed his back to him like a hoe. Didn't even have his neck tucked in.

Holly even went out cold throwing punches.

You can't teach heart.

Yup. I agree 100%. He quit that fight way before the choke.

Nate is no joke for anyone. He doesn't have anything to be ashamed of.

I still have him beating RDA though I just have no interest in seeing that fight anymore. Maybe now Conor can make realistic goals for himself and stay the FW king for a long time to come.

I don't think that is true.
He hit the mat in the first and put Diaz on his back with a quick reversal.
The difference between the Holm and McGregor finishes is very obvious, and I know that most people see it that way, but they won't say it because McGregor attracted so much hate because of his cockiness; he was rocked!

He was on chicken legs, his reflexes were gone, his body wouldn't obey him. He went all sloppy. That's what happens when you get wobbled. Diaz capitalized beautifully and there's nothing to take that away from him. Mcgregor probably knew that at this point he wouldn't get out of that.

Holm wasn't rocked, he was rather on the way to victory. She lost on the ground to a better ground fighter. It was very evident in round 2 already, except that she got out. Naturally she tried getting out again, but a choke puts you out earlier than you think sometimes.

But heck, what do I know. I'm still bitter :D

No, you wouldn't die.

McFold...just gonna have to deal with it. Your hero fell off the pedestal HARD.

I roll with black belts every day. I haven't just given up my back and tapped in 3 seconds in about 5 years. Professional prize fight with millions of dollars on the line... you don't tap to a choke. Ever. Holly deserves major props for embracing death and refusing to tap. The heart of a champion. Fuck this thread. Once Meisha sunk that choke the fight was over. Holly still didn't tap.

You're right it is ignorant to say Holly "taped" later than Conor. First of all it is "tapped" and second of all she didn't tap she went out.

1. Holly NAPPED before she TAPPED

2. Conor gave up his back, lifted his chin, and GAVE Nate the choke as a way out. Didnt even ATTEMPT to defend.

3. BJJ is not used for lethal force, its used to incapacitate your opponent... which Conor never stuck around to find out...

Nate doesnt look strong but those shots still can knockout an opponent. He has a good timing especially with his jab followed up with a straight immediately after. Would be better than one hard shot, as you can land it twice as often. Conor didnt want to get destroyed so he gave up I feel.

Conor needs to get people in his camp that can replicate the style of his opponents so he doesnt need to take 2-3 rounds to find out their rhythm and know what to expect.

It looked like Holly tried to tap Big John's leg.

He gave up the back because he was already rocked and was then mounted and eating blows....fight would have ended there if he just laid there! It's nothing to do with "fear of punishment", he had to move as he wasn't sharp enough to block effectively.

If there's one fighter in the roster you can't really call scared its Conor!
