Oh yeah... over rated as fuck.

Some of you people suck so fucking badly.

Thank you for her bio. Holm is two fight losing streak. She will be cut after she loses to Cat. If Valentina can make her bleed, Cat will cause her to get plastic surgery.

By the way, I love when Jackson fighters lose.

I think you're under-estimating the takedown threat. Valentina completed at least 3 which is enough of a take down threat to make anyone a little tentative.

I think simply it wasn't enough to prevent Holly from using her boxing skills.

Takedown threat was a minor factor.

I thought it was an awesome fight that showed how far women's MMA has come, they fought like men, have muscles like men. I even thought Holly won the fight, felt like it was tied going into the 5th, and I thought Holly did a little more to win it. Lots of hate for Holly today on sherdog, I did watch it at a bar with no sound so I'm very curious to see how much Rogan was building up V and taking down Holly. There's not going to be a dominant champ at 135 for at least a few years, it's all very even, which is good for me.
Valentina landed stronger punches and made her bleed like pig. Holm looked at least one weight class bigger. Valentina could fight at 125. She is small hottie.

Holly was certainly a legit women's boxing champion.

Oh yeah... over rated as fuck.

Some of you people suck so fucking badly.
This is sherdog where you're only as good as your last fight.
That, plus wtf is New Mexican Fighter of the Year. Horrible...

Holly has looked SO-SO in the UFC.. Her only excellent fight was the Ronda fight.

The poll is missing an option:

- Women's MMA in general is overrated

It's an MMA match, not a boxing match.

And while there were no takedowns to prevent Holm from using her boxing, Shevchenko's counter punching was definitely preventing Holm from letting loose like she normally would.

Normally?
In her MMA carreer???

What I'd like to know is what happened to Holly's sword fighting skills. She was supposedly an world class medieval blademaster.

Her boxing is over rated just like her whole mma game is over rated, just like every female fighter is. Womens mma has been around for what ten years? The skill level is desperately low, what do you people really expect. Still can't believe less than a year ago Joe Rogan was telling me Ronda Rousey was a 'once in a lifetime human' mean while he didn't know who Messi is.

Well, hollys a great counter striker, but seems the way to beat her is to force her to initiate. That's what both Meisha and Valentina did, and holly looked hesitant and stifled.

Other then Rousey and Tate fight, I use Holm fights to fall asleep. Boring as F.
Im not a huge fan either. Dont quite fall asleep but i cant say she isnt a good kickboxer. She got skills. A little annoyed of everyone calling her the queen after she beat rousey. She was champ sure.

I stand corrected. Holm was the undisputed Womens New Mexico boxing champ.

now i want schevchenko vs de randamie

by the way de randamie might be a bad match up for holm as well

De Randamie is a bad match up for anyone who stands with her, even Shevchenko. She's a big strong power striker who's also pretty darn good on a technical level. Her technique is solid, she's got good setups on her strikes, and she throws kill shots with speed & power. If you're in the WBW division, take her down, no question, don't even try striking with her.

Muay Thai beats boxing...does anyone really question this?
