I think Holly Holm is the best female fighter currently. She is having trouble finding opponents right now at 145. Do you think the UFC should sign her to be the face of the 145 division?

Her finish tonight was brutal again.

She hasn't fought anyone of note; so other than looks she's a hard sell. She's being brought up in a boxing fashion, that's a slow and steady pace.

No one wants to fight her though. Cyborg at 145 might be the only thing that would be close. I think she would run through Invicta's roster.

Unless she drops to bantamweight, she'll be picked up now. If not, then I don't think the UFC will be picking her up for a while. The UFC seems to be mostly looking to build up their UFC women's bantamweight division before they try expanding their women's MMA divisions which is a good idea imo.

I agree with you, but her striking is the best I have seen from a female. She hasn't been tested with TDD though. If she can prove she can stay on her feet and off the ground I think she can do it. This could attract more fans to WMMA.

145 is barren outside of invicta. A fight with Julia Budd would answer a lot of questions. I don't think Holm runs the table against invicta's 145 div. I've seen nothing that shows me that she'd walk through them easily.

she fights at BW (135lbs) so she can fight in the division the UFC already set up.

Aww yes. I've all her fights but totally forgot her weight. She definetly needs to grow a lot more as an mma fighter; 135 is a murderer's row.

I don't see why the UFC wouldn't sign her, she looks great so far and trains at a great camp.

Plus she's 31, the time is now

If they continue having difficulty getting quality opponents, which they will, she won't have much of a choice to head to Invicta or UFC sooner or later. She can still develop in either org before offered the best representing each brand.

I'm sure Dana is going to call and wish her happy birthday next week.

That being said, this was by far Holm's best performance to date. She always seemed a little gun shy in her previous fights, but she was a stone cold killer tonight.

I honestly think Holm makes a better face for WMMA at this point in time. Honda is a one trick pony, while Holm seems more well rounded. The only downfall is nobody has been able to touch her yet.
