Holly throws loads of punches... just not very many of them land...

Holm lost when she decided to be on the offensive. She should've taunted Shevchenko to come to her. Holm has the size to muscle her way during a clinch but she doesn't want to do it for some unknown reason. Unfortunately Shevchenko is an experienced fighter and forced Holly to play her game.

Probably the takedown and control that cost her a round early in the fight made her think twice about getting inside.
Schevenko had no problem getting her to the mat, because she is underrated with her trip takedowns and clinch grappling.
The size advantage pretty much negated her ability to do anything once she got there, but it just put Holly even further down the hole.

The problem isn't not throwing enough punches. the problem is not hitting enough of them.

Yep. Needs to work on distance and timing. Unfortunately for Holy, Valentina was much better at both during their fight.
