Look at the ridiculous payments he was getting:
Signing bonus of 2 million
Guaranteed 15% of PPV or minimum of 675k event (6 events a year)
1.35 million every four months
PPV buy rate bonus from 250k to 1.75 million
25% gross of gate from Nitro/Thunder and house
100k after 4 years
And merchandising !

WCW contract

Well he did spark their only boom period.

Money earned.

Pretty sure he was one of the main reasons WCW went down the shitter.

There was 1000 reasons and each person you talk to says it was something different that sparked the downfall.

Hogan should take as much blame as Rey Mysterio for WCWs downfall.

Blame Time/Warner and AOL. Creative had jack shit to do with it.

Just the easiest thing to point to, because rasslin fans never look at the big picture or see outside their bubble.

Yea true, thought the main reason was the big guys not wanting to job to the smaller names and then that stupid ass hogan vs Nash dive match.

WCW wouldve never popped the way it did without Hogan
He was directly responsibly for them being on top for awhile

Is it really better than Lesnar's contract? Brock fights like 5 times a year, gets to keep his sponsors on his attire and gets the top dollar.

This is NOTHING compared to what he would have made if he didn't turn down the chance to endorse a certain kitchen product that eventually came to be know as the George Foreman Grill. They approached Hogan about it first and wanted it to be the Hulk Hogan Grill but he thought the idea was dumb so he turned it down. Their second choice was George Foreman and he made over 200 million from the deal and they finally cut him a check for 138 million in exchange for the rights to his name which allowed them to stop giving him a percentage of sales. Stupid Hogan!

Everything and everyone I have heard discuss the reasons for the fall of WCW start or center around Hulk Hogan's contract and the creative clause.

He only used that once in his entire time there. Benefits of overseeing the booking committee.

Who the fuck wants to put over Jeff Jarrett?

Dat Foreman money

Ya in 1999, a few years after he retired, he was actually the highest paid athlete in the world. He made more than double what Michael Jordan made even though MJ was still playing.

I legit think that Brock has the sweetest deal.:)

Terry Bollea always knew what was best for business.

The Hulk Hogan business.

And that's why he's the GOAT and everyone else were mere marks.

Not even close.

Just about every wrestler who has published a book in the last twenty years has at least one incident of Hogan abusing his power. The Jarret situation referenced by Vince Russo in his shoot interview is but one. Flair details more than one in his book. Bret Hart said Hulk killed a possible feud between them in WCW.

That is just a few and there are a ton of other examples.
