I can remember many years ago working for a German firm in America. In Germany these films of Hitler were not allowed to be seen. Here in the US though they frequently shown. I don't think you understand how history works. People study it using primary and secondary sources. You don't have to be present at the event to understand what happened or to understand what's been written about it since...
