Gustave was a member of the Nile croc family reaching a length of 20 feet (6.1 m) and weight of 2,000 pounds (910 kg).

Believed responsible for the death of over 300 people along the river ways of Burundi, Africa

Hippo gorgops was a species of the hippo family reaching a length of 14 feet (4.3 m) and weight of 8,600 pounds (3,900 kg).

Believed to have been encountered in the continents of Africa and Europe before extinction

Fun fact about Gustave..

A team tried to capture him by pulling a Jurrassic Park and putting a live goat in a cage by a river. They had cameras set up all around the cage.

Then a storm came and they had to leave it all overnight.

When they came back the next morning, the cage was underwater and the goat was gone. The cameras were destroyed from the storm. Verdict is still out on whether or not Gustave was there but adds to the legend.

lol the first picture is a giant Saltwater Crocodile captured in Australia decades ago.

^ this photo was taken in the Congo in 1959 by a former WW2 pilot from Belgium. He claimed it to be about 50ft long, and said as he flew down nearer it was rearing up to strike at him if he got too close
