A pretty good fight against another Japanese striker Henrique Sugimoto. Kato dropped Sugimoto 2 times and looked to have almost finished the fight, but then it looks like he gassed and got knocked out by a flurry of punches and elbows.

That's how I see it as well. Kato was actually winning that fight if you ask me until he gassed. I say Kato takes Sugimoto down in a rematch.
