Every once in a while, i stumble over soundtracks or music where i think "damn, that would be a great sampling idea for a hip hop beat".

If you know of such tracks (where you think they haven't been sampled in hip hop before), post them here.

I'll start:

There is so much potential for sampling out there. I tinkered with Fruityloops way back in the early 2000s, but never put in the time to learn how to really use it. Back then I was more into hunting down really good underground hip hop artists/tracks and building my mp3 collection lol. Now a days though there are so many talented beatmakers/DJs (including amateurs) with more sophisticated tools.

Like this amateur creating this dope beat mixing in MF DOOM and RZA tracks.

Sampled this old school Cambodian song.

Of course some of the legendary producers paved the way. Producers like J-Dilla (RIP), Preemo, Pete Rock, 9th Wonder, Q-Tip, Kanye (old school), etc combining multiple samples from various sources. Until this day no one knows how Q-Tip sampled his Crooklyn beat.

What inspired me to make this thread were some of the great sampling ideas Necro had. He sampled a soviet era georgian childrens song for the track "Poetry in the Street". Creative stuff i want to see more of.
