Yahh just how bad is that, just siting doing nothing its 80 beats per minute, during exercise its gets above 200 hell it used to get so fast i had trouble counting it, like in 240 area.

So am i nearly fucked ?

You need to see a doctor. How are you checking your pulse? Carotid pulse by palpation? you could be reading it wrong.

The last person I knew who thought he had the same problem was taking it from his heart and counting the Bah-Bump, Bah-Bump, Bah-Bump, as 1-2, 3-4, 5-6.

Given that max heart rate is normally estimated by taking 220 minus your age you shouldn't be able to even achieve a 240 bpm heartrate.

true 240 sounds a little far fectched, 200 isn't really beliveable, you mush be reading it wrong

I dont know i did me self its 80 doin nothing, a machine said its 78 so my way is rather close.

yeah... well i dont konw what the hell to tell you then

well if you weighed like 390 than it might make sense but your not morbidly obese do you do any exercise whatsoever even like 1x a week?

Normal values for resting heart rate:

newborn infants; 100 to 160 beats per minute
children 1 to 10 years; 70 to 120 beats per minute
children over 10 and adults; 60 to 100 beats per minute
well-trained athletes; 40 to 60 beats per minute

personally mine hovers around 50-60, but im not sure if thats from years of drug abuse when i was younger or because im fit these days.

7-10 hours a week, i gas bad usually but a moments rest iam fine.

are you new to training? If so, then it'll probably slow as you get conditioned. If you've been training for a while...get your butt in to see your doctor!!

Weird. My max heart rate is 194 and I routinely hit a HR of 192 when I'm training.

My HR goes up pretty high, I've never really tested it per say, bit I can hear its pretty high (not overly quantitative argument granted).
My resting's around the 45-50 mark though

u should see a doctor. i was thinking heart fibrillations but damn even your resting hr is way high. i doubt you should be doing intense excercise.
