Having a chat with a mate from my boxing gym last night, who has recently got into weight lifting, as his brother has been doing it for years. He claims that you can take human growth hormone, and if you take enough, your wrists, hands and head can grow bigger.

This seemed pretty ridiculous, but a few other people backed up his claim. Im not personally interested in HGH, just needed to know if what he said is actually true, and if so, wouldn't a lot of the top body builders look....deformed?

Sure. The head has muscles surrounding it, so has every bone, and those muscles will lost likely grow if stimulated. Same goes for every muscle in the body, including the interal organs too.

its funny, my professor was just going over HGH in a lecture about a month ago. What it is is a growth hormone that causes your FLAT BONES to enlarge...flat bone is the type of bone that makes up your skull, jaw....have u ever seen Jaws from 007? well apperently he is an acromegaliac (sp?) which can be caused by HGH...the possible side effects are allergic reactions, diabetes, and..of course..acromegaly

i think its time someone starts throwing around some accusations, so i'll start.

tito ortiz has a huuuge melon

If I were you I'd take this to the supp forum. There are a few guys there who know a lot of shit.

HGH can make a lot of things grow, but I have also heard it doesn't do much for some. It does make your organs grow in addition to muscles/bones. Ever see a Bb with real cut abs but still a huge belly? Very possibly HGH. I have heard that people who know BB can tell exactly when BB start and finish HGH cycles due to how their stomachs look.

the top bodybuilders do look deformed

No, it's not a myth. It can make forehead, hands etc. grow. Haven't you ever seen the BB'rs (most noticable in them because of there low BF%) with the disdended abdomens? It can get pretty nasty when used in outrageous amounts. I'm not sure if you will get that side effect with low dosage though.

Very strange stuff.... and can it actually make your wrists grow, as surely that would be an indicator your whole bone structure was growing?

That's interesting that it also makes internal organs grow as well. What kind of affects will that have on an organs function?
