Let me start by just letting you know where I stand on Georges as a whole package.

I don't hate Georges, I simply am bored to death by Georges. I'm not a fan, but I do respect skill.

He has a very bland personality which has never drawn me in. He always says "the right thing" and just strikes me as a fake "nice guy". He may very well be a very nice person, but anyone who seems nice and perfect all the time, simply is lying.

I have a hard time remembering him ever really selling a fight to the public well. He was always Mr. Canada, and that's where his following was. Lack of personality and humor for me.

The guy is a fantastic martial artist, but that isn't synonymous with being a entertaining fighter. He has amazing wrestling skills which has allowed him to cruise through the tail end of his career, taking very little "real" damage, whilst not exactly handing much out. He's the true example of a "point-fighter". I always thought he could do more, to use an NFL analogy he always felt like the guy who'd just kick a field goal on 4th and 1, and would never go that extra mile for a finish.

Now, he's retired.

It annoyed me the way he left because he once again was "Mr. Clean-Cut" who rode off into the sunset, with a near perfect run and the belt. He lost to Johny, simple as - close fight thought.

I'll say something which will annoy all you GSP fanboys, but if you're looking for honesty I must say it.

He just comes off as Lance Armstrong-ish to me. The guy who is the babyface for his sport, who clearly has a darkside. He was friends, and supported Jimmy Cournoyer a convicted Drug Trafficker. He was the sole-reason why the greasing rules were changed in UFC bouts because of his antics against Penn. Of course there is the other little thing of retiring after one USADA fight but hey, only speculation!

I don't want him back.

If he comes back I'm just cheering for him to lose to Lawler, because everyone thinks that Robbie wouldn't punch him unconscious - I would love to see all your faces when that happens. I also would favor Woodley, MacDonald over 34 year old semi-retired Georges. You had your run Georges, let it be.

The MMA gods are cruel Georges, they'll have you go out in a bad way if you cross them. Don't come back!

He beat the game, he left with a belt and with a pocket full of cash.

So which Sherdoggers want him back and why?

No.

The ufc don't deserve him.

DIdn't read but I don't want him back because I believe he will be a complete shell of his former self and get completely discredited as an all-time great.

He is my 2nd favourite MMA fighter of all-time behind Wanderlei but I don't see a comeback going well for him. If he is able to win the belt back and defend it a couple times, he is probably the GOAT, depending on how Jones' career goes.

Well, he is good for the sport. Despite some people that hate watching him fight, he generates interest and numbers.

Do I want him to come back? No, not really, he left the sport as champ.

Not a lot of people will be able to do this. Yeah it was a close fight with Hendricks, I still thought he won.

No, he should retire, he left the best way possible, and if he came back and lost he will just get lots of hate because thats how people are. GSP was awesome and he doesnt need to come back to prove anything.

Can't wait for him to come back, show that he's still the man, and the ride off into the sunset again.

He was the best PERIOD!! With the best attitude unlike Conor McNarcissist, insecure, crybaby who is the epitome of what not to be.

I don't like when ex greats come back in their mid 30's and try to fight.....father time is not kind to anyone!!

i'm a fan but don't really give a shit if he comes back or not

Right now, he is THE greatest of all time in MMA to me. Dude beat the stiffest of competition of ANY weight class, and did so very decidedly.

Would hate to see him tarnish that by sticking around past his prime and taking risks he really doesn't need to.

I don't want him back at all. I at least want one GOAT to finish his career on a high note. I don't think GSP can do that if he comes back but maybe he can prove me wrong.

I want 2 things in life (well 3 but a bigger d*ck isn't happening so)

#1 The Quebec Nordiques Hockey team to return
#2 GSP coming back to the Octagon

I think this new breed will walk through him. He's almost 35, the prime years are gone, the injuries have set in, he's been out of the cage for 2-3 years. He has every single thing against him in terms of returning and being successful.

That's not even mentioning how great Welterweight is right now, arguably the most stacked division.

Interesting that your favorite fighter is Wanderlei and second is GSP, talk about polar-opposites.

I am not an expert, but i think if anyone has a chance of coming back in top form its gsp.

1)He still practices normally and is involved with mma.
2)He is not that old.
3)Plus this time out must have done some good to his chin.

But i dont want him to return. He has nothing to accomplish as an athlete. Most of the top guys in his division are the guys he dominated.

Only reason i would like to see him back is if,now that he doesn't have the belt and can take risks,he decides to go back to his more karate/striking based earlier style(with some wrestling/takedowns included no problem with me),to change his image as a fighter.
