I'M A HUGE FAN of your stand up game and have honestly modeled a lot of my striking, combos and techniques after yours (thanks to your workout tapes, and the extreme pancrase tapes) and just had a basic question about the infamous LIVER SHOT.

When you deliver the liver shot do you drive it in upwards such as throwing a low uppercut to the body or do you throw a hook? From various videos that i've seen you throw it, it switches. Is one way of doing it more effective than the other (upper cut or hook) ? or does it not matter as long as it connects properly and knocks the guy down?

Aside from that i'm just curious as to your nutrion/dieting for fights. If you don't mind...think you could just give an example of what a typical day of eating is like for El Guapo.

    Thanks...any input is appreciated

    Peace and Respect!

    Yeah, we know.

He might answer it here, though, I think he's made some recent posts in the Ask the Fighters forum. I know Eddie Bravo has made many appearances in the Grapplers Forum.

On Bas' Big DVDs of Combat, he says to throw it up and in, like a half hook, half uppercut.

Thanks guys. I wasn't truly sure after watching some of his videos and what not, but the half hook/upper cut thing definitely explains it as many times it appears to be a hook and at other times it sort of looks like he's throwing an uppercut to the body.
