In the second video, you end up perfect for the Homer Simpson, which I've been using more and more to either escape with a single leg or sweep.

 

I use this a lot but I wasn't getting both of my shoulders to the ground like you are. Thanks for the detail! I bet this will take some of the struggle out of it for me.

I feel like I became invulnerable to the RNC in no gi. On a lazy day I feel like the easiest way to half guard is to just start the roll with my back taken.
