Listen. There is no breaking that record, trust me. It´s special. It´s Unique. And I´m gonna explain to you why.

Silva's record goes beyond the simple idea of 16 fight win streak or 10 consecutive title defenses. Do you really want to talk about breaking Silva's record? Here are 4 things you need to do:

1 - FACT: the record was done without losing since his UFC debut. (that means Demetrious, GSP, Jones, Holloway, Ferguson, and everyone with a loss, are out of the conversation "you might wanna argue Jones didn´t really lose, but he still got DQ'd and that´s a loss in his record")

2 - 12 of those 16 fights were title fight wins. (12 if you consider the Lutter fighter, 11 if you don´t... Khabib may break other records, but until he gets 12 consecutive title wins, he´s not in the discussion)

Number 3 and 4 are what make Silva's record so special and impossible to break.

3 - In the middle of his reign, after a number of title defenses, the fighter needs to go up a division 3 times and matrix his opponents (or at least KO them, including a former champ).

4 - And if you´re not doing all of the above with the most incredible highlights in all mma, the truth is, Matrix Silva's record would still be more impressive!

I approve this threads message.

Silva is the one true GOAT.

But he lost numerous times since his debut ya goof, just in Pride.

Fact. Anderson competed in 3 different divisions and was only able to be a champion in 1.

Fact. GSP competed in 2 Divisions, ans is a 2 division champion. Something AS will never accomplish.

I notice this is a trend with sherdog not being able to differentiate between GOAT fighter and most entertaining fighter.

Ill agree most entertaining fighter is between Andy, Jones, and Fedor, PED's doesnt really effect this.

GOAT though is easily GSP with MM a BW title away.

I wouldn't call it GOAT record. But it is the GOAT run. #2 might be Shoguns run in pride

Let's face it, you won't be happy until Silva's balls are resting neatly on your chin.
