He brought the doctor. The doctor cleared the fighter. The round started. The punishment continued. He ended the fight asap. No additional damage made. A huge horde of MMA fans/Sherdoggers claiming it was an early stoppage were anihilated before they were born. Thanks Herb.

you could see he was exhausted by the middle of the 2nd round definitely didn’t want to be in there in the 3rd. He was throwing everything into shots at one point he was tiring himself out quickly.

Herb did what Shahbazyan's corner should have done. That kid was getting bludgeoned. It was a good stoppage.

people don`t understand that those stupid interference by the ref
to stop the fight even for 10 seconds can swift the momentum completely

His corner was ok. The doctor said he could fight. The fighter said he could fight and wanted to do so. As soon as he realized it was over, Herb stopped the fight. No chance for fans to complain and make stupid allegations. Sherdog became a better place.

You could see when he stopped for the eye poke he had next to nothing left in the tank. The third round he was looking for a way out. Doesn’t matter how good a fighter you are if you are completely exhausted and the other fighter isn’t it’s only a matter of time

    Was very similar to Teixeira/Smith.

Except Herb's stoppage was perfect, and the ref wanted Smith to die.

When a fighter almost gets finished at the end of the round, and then folds immediately the first time he gets hit again, yeah, just stop it.

It's a serious question of when Martinez/Saenz should have been stopped. Saenz was oh so barely in the fight...

Did herb fuck get it right...

Is there a soul alive that would have complained had the fight been stopped five seconds from the end of the second round? I suspect only those that like to see people get beaten to death in an octagon.

The only reason Herb let it go on was because he knew there was only seconds left, but why should that influence whether you stop the fight or not when the fighter is clearly finished and he’s not intelligently defending himself?

Herb then shits himself and asks a doctor to make the decision for him… The doctor then completely fucks up and allows a fighter to continue. Seconds later the fight was over in the third round.

Herb is shot-shy at this point as a ref. He seems unable to make decisions when it matters. He’s got the equivalent of writers block and for a referee that’s very dangerous.

Herb got it ‘right’ eventually but it was long overdue. He got it massively wrong by not stopping the fight before the end of the second round and that’s all that matters. Another awful display.

People still complaining, desperate to be vindicated because they defended Dan Hardy.

Why is Dan Hardy relevant here? Because you weirdly want him to be?...

Would you have called it an early stoppage if he ended the fight just before he end of the 2nd? Of course you would have ...

Herb is a shit ref at this point... Does he even know what his arms are doing when he’s waving them around over a beaten fighter? He’s making stuff up as he goes along, and that’s a fact. Everything he’s said lately is false.

    Herb fucked it.

First he looked like he waved it off at the time and then realised it was the end of the round and just let edmen wobble back to his corner and almost fall off the stool because he was too indecisive to call it.

Herb then waited until the third round was actually about to start to pull the doctor in because he knew that edmen wasn't ready for another round (hoping that the doctor would call the fight off after the corner didn't). And then was in there straight away to call the fight off after edmen started getting battered again cos he knew he had fucked it

Thought it should have been stopped after the 2nd round... no need for a basketball time out... the guy was done and could have taken serious damage in the 3rd round... Herb gave Shahbazyan the Cerrone vs Masvidal treatment in letting him get finished twice in one fight... Meh.

Yeah, honestly, I cant understand why anyone would argue this whatsoever. Its a sport about fighting and we got some sissies crying for an earlier stoppage.

    WHY.

In this case, you had a ref, a fighter, a corner, and even a fucking doctor saying he was fine. Early Herb ended up stopping the fight earlier than most other pummeling, but fuck it. The way I see it, everyone gave that hype job a second chance. He didnt deliver as promised, so Herb ended it.

To argue this is a declaration of one needing to watch a tamer sport.
