While making picks for tomorrow's fights I was surprised to see Hendo at +500.

Cormier has appeared quick and (dare I say) explosive in his past fights. But that's against guys like Josh Barnett, Bigfoot Silva, Frank Mir, and Roy Nelson. All if which are fairly slow. Nobody on Cormiers resume stood out to me as the type with fast twitch muscle fibers, and Henderson's right hand comes lightning fast.

Anything can happen and I know Hendo's chin could go anytime. I just want to point out that Cormier has never fought someone as quick as Hendo, and I think this will play a factor in this fight.

I thought the odds would be more like +200 Hendo, anybody feel the same?

Hendo's the slowest man that Cormier's faced so far.

    Nice avatar.

Hendo is lighter and throws punches quicker then Mir, Barnett, and Bigfoot IMO but I very well could be underestimating DC.

    Thanks:)

Hendo plods around spamming over hand rights. If Cormier fails to get past that he has no place fighting jones.

Also as mentioned above Hendo is slow as hell in the grand scheme of things.

yeah the headhunting makes his striking kinda predictable, but he's found a way to connect with fedor, shogun, bisping all in different circumstances. i think cormier is going to fight smart and be in good positions all night, but i wouldn't place any money on this fight.

Speed is irrelevant when Cormier is going to just push Hendo against the cage for 15 minutes.

Are we watching the same sport?

Hendo is definitely in the right spot at +500.

His only chance of winning is landing an H-bomb and unless DC does something reckless, it should be easily avoidable.

Still hoping Dan pulls the upset, though.

Hendo could come in weighing 155lbs and he'd still be slower than all the Heavyweights Cormier has faced.

Cormier is faster, stronger and more skilled than Hendo. He'll have to land a H-bomb of Bisping-caliber to finish of DC.

Hendo is stronger, faster and better looking. Cormier looks like the cop from diehard.

I'm surprised to see how many people feel Dc is faster then Hendo! Hendo may not use much movement but he's quicker in the pocket IMO. Either way I'm really looking forward to this fight, should be a good one

Outside of that big overhand right, Hendo is in fact quite slow and plodding. I woudn't go as far as to say he's slower than Murr, Barnett or Bigfoot(although the latter has very deceptive speed) but I don't believe Cormier will be thrown off by his speed.
