This explains Dana's new found "love" for Usman after he beat RDA. He's trying to pressure Colby into taking the fight by threatening his position in the title shot rotation.

Why do those two clowns(Woodley/Cringy) keep flapping their gums then if neither are ready or willing to fight soon?

Probably, but there's like a 30% chance that it could be a sort of amusing display of sloppy kickboxing if they negate each other's wrestling.

More than likely it would be a bunch of clinch reversals along the cage though.

They already re-stripped him of the interim belt. He's not listed as champ in the rankings anymore.
 
Colby has no option but to take this fight, since it's now Usman that is looking to fight Woodley, not Colby. This is the right choice, Colby bitched out from a defense one time already, so it's whatever.

To hell with every fighter who tries to play the waiting game, it messes the titleshot picture up.
 
From a financial perspective I don't think this is a good idea for the UFC, unless maybe they're really pissed at Colby. The guy is hated by fans and many would like to see him get his ass kicked, why not on PPV? And didn't Woodley make that lengthy statement about how he never wanted to supposedly "hurt" someone so bad? Bit of a waste for Colby to get destroyed by Usman.
 
Woodley vs Colby is too good of an avatar for the left vs right political stereotype war. Usman would be a -975 favorite against Colby so it's virtually guaranteed to spoil it.
 
Covington losing leverage. Usman handled RDA way easier then Covington did. I'm in favor of these guys fighting, we'll get a true number one contender.

Man, Woodley doesn't fight very often. First it was that shoulder surgery he had which kept him away for 1+ year and now his hand.

Ffs with all this trash talk, I just wanted to see Colby fight Woodley already.
