So unfortunately amateur wrestling in the UK is pretty much non existent. Ive been training nogi jiu jitsu and mma for just over 3 years now with the occasional gi class mixed in. My coach and more experienced training partners notice and try and get me out of the habbit of just pulling guard or flopping to my butt during training or competition. I do okay rolling and competing but im not happy with not being able to score points and gain top position via the takedown. Especially during mma sparring its a pretty miserable experience looking for an opportunity to sweep or submit while being punched in the face. I attended a few wrestling classes at my gym that were very helpful but due to tiny class sizes they no longer run wrestling and there are no clubs within 2 hours of where i live. I know the absolute basics of the double leg and a few finishes for the single leg and the obvious clinch takedowns but thats about it. Are there any good online instructionals on nogi takedowns? Or good training exercises or drills? There are a few training partners who i try and learn as much as i can from but my jiu jitsu coach has a more sport based game and mma coach is a well known striker. Any help is appreciated.
