Someone told me that I need ot keep a Sleep/food/Exercise journal. Can someone explain this to me and maybe help me out for this
I set mine up like a graph. For the food I have category for what I eat then how much then the nutritional value from protein, clories, fat, carbs and sugar For the sleep I keep track of the hours I sleep at night and the hours i nap Then a weightloss chart with how much I way at the start of the week and how much lost/gained at end of each week For the exercisise I list the name of the exercise the reps/time that I did it in The reason for the journal is to give yourself a way to keep track of your progress, failures and to see how close you are to your goals. I also use it to balance what I eat throughout the day and to keep track of how I am doing on my diet. The sleep part will give you a guage of how much sleep you need to not be dragging ass. Alot of people will maybe say this is unneccesary but I think it really helps becaus eit lets you see progress and it lets you track how you are doing. the sleep chart especially important because it lets you see how much sleep your body needs to be functional.
I use the Fit For Life journal because it has the food and workout with the workout broken down for upper body, lower bosy and cardio. It's really the best journal I've come across.
Just make a custom spreadsheet, you can keep track of anything you want, they are easy, fast, and powerful. When you start getting a hang of it, make it more complex so you can view graphs, of weight change, strength improvements, body fat %. Pretty much anything you keep track of. Also, you can add all your food into a sheet(or even a database) and then just type in a number for a certain meal and you will have all the nutrional data you have already added for that meal. Makes things easier when changing diets.
