How do you substitute Military Presses for Incline Bench? I downloaded the sample template and it automatically has Incline listed as one of the exercises.

Do I simply put my Military Press stats into the yellow cell originally for Incline? I wasn't sure if the format was interchangeable for both exercises.

Also, I've already done the intermediate routine once and am thinking of trying out the Advanced. I've been on a 2 month break from working out, how strenuous would it be to start fresh with the advanced program?

Thanks in advance for your comments and advice!

I think it's fine to simply sub in MPs. If the gains were still coming on the intermediate I would do that again.

It all depends on the gains you are still getting. Coming off of a 2 month break I imagine that you should at least get back on the intermediate until you stop making gains again.

I am also doing the intermediate and I have never done incline. I either do SOHP or PP on that day, alternating every couple of weeks.

How about reading the Bill starr 5x5 link in the FAQ?

How about not being a fucking smart ass and not posting in here if you have nothing to contribute.

Seeing as you took the time to reply, how about reading my post thoroughly first?

It depends, are you an advanced lifter? What are your numbers? How long have you been using the 5x5 intermediate program?

I would have thought that every possible question about the B.S. 5x5 would have been covered by now.

Apparently not.

Maybe it needs its own FAQ.

Yes sub push press/Sohp/etc for incline press

I would ease into the program. Unless you were advanced lifter prior, I would not jump straight into advanced...seeing as to how you were intermediate prior...you may need to start at beginner/intermediate level....2 months is a long break....

Thanks A LOT. Finally a comprehensive and useful comment.

If you actually read through the link, you have a very detailed answer there. To take a cheapshot at me just shows your character and is derogatory.

im aware of the bill starr 5 by 5, but i didnt know there was an advanced version. Chill the fuck out.

Are you talking about the BS 5x5, or the practical programming 5x5?
