I did a search on this forum and can not find anything about repairing a hole in my heavy bag.

I believe one of my kids gouged it with something. Can some one give me some advice on what I need and how to repair a hole in the bag.

There was a thread on here not to long ago about rewrapping bags that had worn out. I remember someone posting about a bag wrap that Everlast makes; its on their website. That should fix your problem.

if your cheap get duct tape lots of duct tape

if you have some money get duct tape and a gel bag cover from ringside.

I fixed my bag this way, and it seems to have gotten much harder. When I kick it now, it really stings my shins. I know, conditioning the shins, but should the duct tape make the bag that much harder?

I split a bag and tried to repair it using duct tape, but it didn't take. For the cost of a shitload of high-quality tape every few weeks I figured I'd just get a new bag instead, which worked out great because I used every piece of the old one to fill my grappling dummy and make sandbags.

i've used duct tape on an old bag before and it worked fine...and most boxing gyms have lots of duct tape on there bags...or at least in the movie rockie

Duct tape worked fine on one of my old bags.

Thanks for all of the info. I appreciate it.

You took the word right from my head!!!!! THat's exactly what I would do. Everlast makes a gel wrap that is pretty good.
