Why or how would Conor v Khabib go much differently that Khabib vs Barbosa? I don't care what anyone says, but Conor is not 100x better a striker than Barbosa.

At best case, Conor is a better striker although that's arguable. My opinion is there are many elite strikers in the UFC on the same level as Conor. His striking isn't some voodoo shit you can't train for or no one has even seen.

Besides a flash ko, how will the fight be more competitive than Barbosa? If Conor has to worry about getting taken down the entire fight, his entire stand up will go so shit too. We've seen that happen so many times with other elite strikers before (ala Wonderboy v Woodley). Woodley rocked WB cause he was so scared of the takedown.

UFC selling fucking wolf tickets!

McGregor won't last as long as Barboza did.

Barboza has always been vulnerable to pressure.

Conor will be in Khabibs head. Look what happened to Aldo

Footwork. Barboza will get pushed into the cage and then sprint a lap. Conor will have superior sprinting speed, thanks to his McGregor FAST program.

Not a good comparison at all. Barboza is primarily a kicker. He has to maintain a certain distance to be effective because kicking range is different than punching range. You also have to really plant your feet to kick properly. To beat a kicker, you pressure them because you're too close for them to kick effectively and you're not giving them time to plant and throw. Kicking also leaves you off balance and susceptible to takedowns.

Conor is primarily a boxer. He has a different range to be effective than a kicker. His main tool also allows him to keep both feet planted which helps when stuffing takedowns. His timing, accuracy, and sense of range are also on a completely different level than Barboza. It's really an apples and oranges comparison because they are completely different types of strikers, and Conor is much better at what he does than Barboza is.

If Khabib fights Conor the same way he fought Barboza, he will get slept.

Edit: As for your Wonderboy/Woodley comparison, Wonderboy is also primarily a kicker. He didn't kick freely because he didn't want Woodley to take him down. Woodley was also totally defensive when in kicking range. He waited for Wonderboy to get in his punching range before he did anything. It made for a lackluster fight, but it worked. He didn't get caught with any crazy kicks, and he knew Wonderboy wasn't a big puncher so he picked his spots very carefully.

because they're different fighters? kickers like barboza and pettis can't fight going backwards.

conor can catch anyone coming in with his counters, going backwards or forward.

conor's hands > barboza's whole game

head clean off in the 1st round. Khabib will do fookin nuttin

Conor bless!

This thread promises goofy good and fun times from the Colin hoe lady boys.

Barboza has better TDD than McGregor and is probably better on the ground too. I think people would be shocked at how easily Kevin Lee would handle Conor.

Khabib is not going to run at Conor like he did Edson, because you only do that against kickers that can't punch.
