...that is low in carbs. For most of my life (especially during my high school cross country days), I ate a lot of carbs. I never got fat off of it but right now I have some body fat that I would love to get rid of. Circuit training has helped shape my arms and shoulders but it hasn't really helped drop the body fat. My day starts early in the morning (8am is early for me ever since I started college) and I don't have the time to run first thing in the morning. I know the body's depleted of carbs and glycogen after waking up so that's the best time to burn the body fat. But like I said, this quarter of college has me waking up early every morning. But I'm done at noon with my classes so that's when I plan on running. Usually my breakfast is dominant in carbs (bagels, bread, cereal), and right now I want to switch to a low-carb breakfast that will keep the carbs down for my noon run so I can burn from the fat storage faster.
Can anyone/everyone recommend a low-carb breakfast besides eggs/pancakes/bacon/usual Denny's crap? Thanks. I have Muscle Milk that I usually take with milk instead of water, is that a good breakfast starter? Thanks again.
PS: I eat breakfast around 8 and start running around 1. Is that long enough of a fasting state to not have to worry about eating too many carbs for breakfast?
