I think I might have Alzheimers. I don't know any of the fighters any more. The cards in the U.S. all involve something like an IBO youth-intercontinental-mini-fly title with a co main of the IBF interim-minimum-straw- jockey championship. None of the boxers weigh more than my 8 year old grandson. Not only don't I know who any the boxers are, I don't care about the titles or follow the results of the fights.

I have been a serious fan since watching Emile Griffith vs Dick Tiger in the 60's and have attended dozens of boxing events live including those involving Hearns, Holmes, Tyson, Hagler, Palomino, Roy Jones, DeLaHoya, both Leon and Michael Spinks etc., etc., etc. Most of those were also on network television.

At least boxing is thriving in Europe. (But I still don't know any of those fighters either).

You're not forced to watch boxing. If you can't find excitement in the sport anymore change the channel on your TV without make this kind of thread.

Seriously... if you were there to attend Dick Tiger Vs Emile Griffith, maybe it IS Alzheimer's.

If not... pick up a copy of Ring magazine, and read a little.

Hell, just read a little in general.

It's not in a downward spiral. So if that were even true, it'd be applicable.

Maybe you should move to one of those communist countries and eat snails. This way you have two sports to watch, soccer and boxing. Turn in your passport asshole or at least go back to the HW forum and dabate with children a third your age. I call BS on this guy, what kind of a human being would have seen those events and could possibly write something like that.

No you don't, because you're purposefully ignoring the records broken by Boxing last year, and one of them was specifically in your home State.

Lies will not avail you. You go by media hype.

I only go by my interest in the sport and for some reason it dwindled. Things are not what they use to be!!

can pinpoint 1 reason, but interest is no longer there and I know i'm not in the minority who feel that way.

If you only go by your own interest, then don't say you go by statistical information that actually suggests the contrary of your notion.

You actually are in the minority Worldwide, so you don't "know" otherwise either. Boxing is in a decent State of Affairs. Is it a mainstream Sport? No. Is it no longer one of the most important Sports in America? Yes.

But it's settled into it's role as a niche Sport in America just fine, and it continues to be the most important Sport in plenty other Countries Worldwide.

So because YOU lost interest it means that boxing is dead.
Well I lost interest in soccer. Soccer must be dead. Same with Hockey and football.

How can you say boxing is in the toilet when you look at the last 2 years and the friggin amazing events and fights that have gone down? Cotto Mosely for me was enough to keep interest for the next 10 years alone.

Yes I feel that way,,,,but everyone that I use to watch and talk boxing with express the same feelings. I would love to watch and support the sport but for some reason its not "there" any more.

you are a dumbass who can't even troll correctly, can't string a coherent argument together without contradicting yourself

first he says the sport has dwindled and ppv's prove so.

then when he gets proven wrong by the blockbuster ppv's that happened over the past 2 years, maybe even 3.
he resorts to, oh i only go by my own interest (dumbass way to back outta an argument, typically only used when someone falsely uses facts that get proven untrue)

he never had any interest to begin with nor has he ever watched boxing.

even a boxing hater will admit that boxing has been HUGE over the past 2 years. you dont need love for boxing to know it has done well, you just have to read sports new headlines to know so.

Ah, I see what you've done here... the figures don't back up your stance so you resort to personal opinion, which is both inarguable, and utterly irrelevant to anyone but yourself.
