Help! Disagreement on Travel plans with friends.

So the deal is that 2 of my friends and I decided to plan a trip to Budapest. Our school has a weird rule where we have to put in a request and send them an itinerary before we leave the country just so they can keep tabs on us.

After talking to one of my friends today, I find out that the only thing he wants to do is find hookers. He doesn't want to see any sights, go to clubs, try the local food...etc. He basically just wants to go on this trip to screw as many hookers as possible and take them back for the night in the apartment we are planning on renting.

I'm feeling uneasy about this whole situation and I want to back out of this trip.

Pros
-he's using his cc to reserve a 3 bedroom penthouse with jacuzzi
-he's fun to hang around with when we are doing NORMAL things
-it's Budapest!

Negatives
-i don't speak hungarian
-i'm afraid for my safety and my friends' especially if he gets involved with the wrong people
-i'll end up going over my budget due to shenannigans

What would you do?
 
perfect time to get in on the hookers. 2 for 1, save some $$$
 
He's probably just being an ass. He'll want to do other shit once his dick deflates/falls off.

Take hookers to landmarks, take him to clubs to meet hookers, and as far as trying to local food well...I'm sure you can connect the metapor there.
 
Sounds like a fun time. Why wouldn't you want to do this? You sound boring.
 
I don't know how it works in Hungary but a lot of hookers will also act as tour guides and translators. They will also make sure you don't get ripped off.

Spend the first two days shopping for the right whores and then stick with them for the remainder of your visit and make sure they don't rob you in your sleep. If you want to bang other ones then do it. It's not like any of them will care.
 
I remember back in the day when VHS was huge a buddy of mine had this porn tape called Babes in Budapest.


just don't get into it with sketchy hookers & don't get into sketchy cabs. I just saw a movie not too long ago where they had rackets that preyed on tourists. your buddy seems like prime sucker material
 
Meh... if you dont like it then just do your own thing. Or go stay in a hostel and meet up when you want. Hostels you will meet other travelers and can hang out with more peeps...Traveling is traveling and will be good times.

While I like hostels and have had some good times meeting people and partying with brazilians...I much prefer the comfort of a hotel room.

That's a good point and hookers are people too but I just feel like that business has the propensity to attract corruptible people who are willing to bend their moral compass for a little cash.

I read this Hungary trip review about how these americans were scammed into a strip club and the owner charged them $1000 and held them prisoner when they wouldn't pay.


Anyways, I told my friend I would have my decision by tonight and I'm leaning towards just scrapping the budapest trip and doing barcelona/amsterdam instead.

just enjoy that shit and don't look back.
 
travel alone! i cannot emphasize this enough. you get to do the things that you want to do, on your time. there is no negotiating involved. you don't have to compromise because someone wants to see a certain museum. plus, you meet tons of people everywhere. it's a lot funner for me, anyway.

there are times when it's fun to travel with others. but they have to be people that you know well. and who you know won't make a stink if things don't go the way they'd like.

nowadays, most hostels have individual rooms. i know that the hostel i worked in had plenty.
