    Hi Guys,

Ok the time has come for me to choose to keep cutting weight or too move up a weight class

I am going to move up

Basically I want to get a nice weights program so I can bulk up but not become to stiff and robot like

I have all the basic weights at home

    Lets go people !!

How much weight do you need to gain? or Do you have enough weight already?

If you need to gain a lot of weight, strength and power training is actually pretty minimal in weight gaining compared to bodybuilding and stuff.

Man, I wouldn't recommend these until they have a great strength base or have tried the more basic powerlifting and strength training routine and Heath seems like he is starting.

Like Dan 181 said, a guy who just started lifting or cant lift much don't need to do speed and explosive work just yet. Not only that Oly movement is complex as hell and Im not sure if he has anyone qualified to look at his forms and teach him stuff.

By the way, I got nothing against OLy lifting. I think it's great, but alittle too fast right off the bat.

Ted, there should be another article on that page geared twoards MMA lifting. It is a different article from the Oly lifting. It may be to complex for a beginner also but I will throw it out there for others who may be interested.

Well, Dan181 also said there is no reason to do an archaic program just because you are starting off (referring to using bands and DE days)

    Hi Guys,

I should have been more specific, sorry about that

I currently fight in MMA, BJJ and Wrestling at 155 and I probably walk around at close to 160 or so, maybe a little more or little less just depending,

I want to move up to the 170 division

I have a medium level understanding of weights

    Cheers

Have you ever squatted or deadlifted before?

You should read the stickies and check it out.
