Fair enough. But if they used the swastika (in an Eastern sense) prior to the Nazis as well, I imagine they'd abandon it. Just like plenty of people were named Adolf/Adolph before WWII, and I've pretty much never seen the name now. Ditto to the Hitler mustache. Nazis corrupted a lot of things that existed before them.
