PED use has been BJJ's dirty little secret for years now.

In 2013 the IBJJF started testing black belt and master division matches according to USADA standards, but none of the lower divisions. So the pan-ams, mundials, etc are all testing now.

ADCC still doesn't test.

Shockingly, a number of BJJ players have been avoiding the IBJJF sanctioned tournaments, especially after Gabi Garcia, Braulio Estima and Felipe Pena tested positive. IBJJF and USADA not only stripped their results, but in the case of Pena all the results of his previous tournaments.

Let's just say that if a BJJ player shows up at Abu Dhabi and mysteriously misses all the IBJJF tournaments, it's a bit fishy. Especially if they've been doing IBJJF tournaments in the past.
