Are there any? HW seems like it's the division with the oldest fighters on top. It seems like a fighter who has been training since he was young and is now in his 20s could really dominate, but...is there anyone who fits this description?

Dana looked at a few on his "looking for a fight" series

Dana also been kind of cheap lately with signing heavyweights and light heavyweights. He is signing mostly woman and lightweights featherweights

Johnny Manziel
Greg Hardy
Ray Rice

These are the correct answers

Google Bilyal Makhov

He is already signed with UFC.

He will probably ragdoll everyone on his path to the belt

No healthy 20 year old HW is gonna look at the UFC or even MMA.

Struve is commin for dat belt. Seemz like he'z starting to put it all together.

Will likely be in his 30's though by the time he gets there though. (28 now)

I saw that he was signed in april 2015, but now in july 2016, why hasn't he fought yet?.

I think he's trying out for the Olympics.
Thanks man. UFC could do with any HW they can get to be honest..especially younger guys.

Been away from sherdog for awhile

Missed you guys

Never, doesn't know how to use his reach properly and will always get knocked out by the big power puncher

But how is his chin? Have we ever seen him eat a shot from another 240+ pound man? Like tyson said" everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face".

Yeah, I hear ya... but I gotta think that at some point he'z gonna start "fighting long" like he should of been doing the whole time.

As it standz though he doesn't seem to take full advantage of it... as you mentioned.

He has the same MMA record as CM Punk. Wrestlers like those guys get a pass I suppose.

True, true. Of course he needs basic striking defense and he obviously needs to get caught up on submissions and ground and pound but with his size and wrestling ability and the fact that Cain and Stipe are the only wrestlers in the top ten, I think Makhov is going to be tossing bodies left and right.

The talent sucks because they don't put money into prospects. Only the guys who make it to the top reap the rewards from fighting. There's no real incentive to go into fighting over working a regular job.

Your current heavyweight champ is 33, been in the UFC for 5 years and its only after getting the belt that he will be able to live off of fighting. Those are ridiculous expectations for this kind of work.
