heavy lifting causing hemmrhoids

    I have heard that this can be the case, is there a good technique to avoid this? i recently developed one and it is painful/humiliating. im sure its more a thing of diet and other things but can lifting worsen it, is their a way to negate this? thank you for all advice

    Don't be so thorough with your clean up process. You have to leave a little on as layer of protection.

    Yes, squatting can especially worsen it. Anytime there is increased pressure on your perineum you can be at risk for hemorrhoid irritation. Just take it easy and it will go away in a few days - You should go get a cream at the drugstore and apply daily, several times.

    Just be careful not to push too much when you're on the shitter. People were designed to shit while squatting so the way you sit on western toilets might also cause or aggravate the 'roids.

    I just perch on the toilet like a bird, feet on the seat and such.
