    Hi all,

I just got an 80 lb heavy bag for the basement. I have an ceiling joice 8' above me. How do you veterans secure this bad boy for some punishment? I purchased a good mounting bracket for the joice, but if I hook it to the chain it will be too high. Thanks in advance.

I'm prolly gonna be in the same position soon. Right now I hang my bag from my patio awning but I have to take it down after every use cuz of the sprinklers and I can't use it most of the day cuz I end up staring directly into the sun.

So to bring it down farther from my garage ceiling I'll get a heavy duty chain

Also, just to be clear on how I was thinking. I would buy a lenght double what was needed, and loop it, and secure the loose ends either with a super heavy duty carabiner (sp??) or nut/bolt I think you want to minimize the use of "S" hooks. While my experience is limited, if you're not careful, the "s" hooks will start to bend..
